Creating and configuring variants

Users have expressed the need of introducing a new "Variants" section that allows administrators to manage different variations of craft beers and gear more efficiently. The addition of this section aims to streamline the process of adding, editing, and organizing various beer variants, ultimately empowering administrators to better curate the platform's offerings.

Objectives

  • Provide administrators with a dedicated section to manage different variants of craft beers, making it easier to handle diverse product offerings.

  • Create a user-friendly interface that simplifies the process of adding, editing, and deleting beer variants, reducing the time and effort required for these tasks.

  • Ensure that administrators can input and update variant information consistently, leading to accurate and up-to-date product listings.

  • Implement a system that categorizes variants based on attributes such as flavour, alcohol content, and size, allowing for better organization and searchability.

  • Utilize intuitive design elements, such as icons and colour coding, to convey variant attributes and information effectively.

  • Ensure the new "Variants" section integrates seamlessly with the existing backend infrastructure and workflows.

Proposed Solution

The objective of this project focused on creating a section within the platform where business partners could generate different variations for their products, such as Size, Flavor, and Color. This not only helps them categorize their products but also maintains a more efficient and accurate inventory based on warehouse stock. It also prepares clients to launch their online store through Oznr.

The experience begins when the partner enters the administration panel and navigates to the product catalogue. There, they will find a section called Variants, containing lists predefined by the system that cannot be deleted but can be duplicated and managed effectively.

  • Add Variants: Easily add new variants with fields for name, style, ABV (alcohol by volume), IBU (International Bitterness Units), size, and description.

  • Edit Variants: Modify existing variant details, update attributes, and revise product descriptions in a straightforward manner

  • Organize Variants: Group variants, such as "IPA," "Stout," or "Lager," to facilitate efficient browsing and searching.

  • Bulk Actions: Provide the option to perform bulk actions, such as updating prices or attributes for multiple variants simultaneously.

  • A step ahead: Default variants lists will be automatically added to the system so they can assign them efficiently as defaults

  • Create more variants: Easily duplicate, activate and disable variants.
